Last month saw OpenQuote break throught the 5000 downloads barrier, which since its launch 2 years earlier is a fantastic achievment.
The OpenQuote team would like to thank everyone who has helped make OpenQuote such a success. To all those who have downloaded the software, contributed to the community and given such high praise on SourceForge we thank you.
We are absolutely committed to continued development of OpenQuote, so look forward to working with you to make OpenQuote even better as we enjoy even more downloads in the coming months and years!
Some of the reviews on SourceForge:
Time to market for a product reduced to almost nothing compared to building from scratch. Excellent support from a top team of developers. Imagine potential, real world, savings of over £1m. Based on open technology and free licensing.
I’ve been using OpenQuote to deliver a quote and buy service for PI insurance, via an existing .NET website. We were able to get our products up and running pretty quickly and our web guys integrated them into the site without any trouble. The product configuration is fairly sophisticated and technical (XML) so takes some time to get to grips with, however the support from the community forum is really good and has proved an invaluable. There was nothing we had any real difficulty implementing and the risk assessment and rating engine is pretty flexible. Better documentation and a more user friendly product configuration GIU would be nice, but overall I’m impressed.
